Freezer Meal "Cook Along" - LIVE ZOOM OPTION

This class is designed to offer basic instruction in preparing three different family meals which can be stored in the freezer and cooked later as needed. Recipes to be prepared include: Broccoli Chicken Alfredo Bake, Smoky Pulled Pork Sandwiches and Zesty Tortilla Soup.

The class will offer participants the opportunity to download the recipes, grocery list, freezer labels and basic preparation instructions once they are registered. Participants can join the Zoom class to prepare their freezer meals in real time along with Kaci, as she offers tips from her experience making weekly freezer meals for her customers. Audience members will have the opportunity to interact and ask questions and will end up with three freezer-ready meals to store for fast and easy preparation at a later date.

THIS CLASS IS OFFERED IN LIVE ZOOM FORMAT. After the live class, the recording will be edited and made available for download from the Fab Lab’s website, www.fablabicc.org.

The owner/operator of Chilled By Kaci, Gilchrist says the idea for her business resulted from her experiences while teaching low-income families about food-related issues, including how to prepare meals ahead to freeze for later. As a working mom of three herself, she said finding the time to cook a healthy, tasty dinner for her own family was always something she struggles with. So, "Chilled" was born from Gilchrist's desire to help other families solve this problem by offering the opportunity to purchase affordable, tasty freezer meals they could pull from the freezer for preparation on extra busy days. On her website Gilchrist posts weekly options for freezer meals that customers can order for pick-up or local delivery.
